What’s your favorite piece of sports apparel? What’s your worst moment as a fan of one of your teams? What’s your best moment as a fan of one of your teams?
STEPHEN
What is your favorite sport?
This is a hard question. I would say it is very close between football and baseball. But I would say my favorite sport is probably football.
What is a sport you wish to learn more of?
Recently my son and I have been watching lacrosse. So, that would be an interesting sport to learn more about. I know the basics but not enough to be fully aware of what’s happening.
What was your favorite sport to play growing up?
As a kid, I was most dedicated to baseball. I started at 5 and continued through my freshman year at SFCC in Spokane. My childhood included playing travel ball multiple all star games and even made it two games away from the little league World Series! Lots of fun memories with baseball.
What is the best sporting event you’ve been to?
I could say an NFL, MLB, NHL, or MLS game but I think that would be a lie. I think the best, or most fun, event I have been to would be a Spokane Shock Arena Football playoff game. The excitement, rowdiness, and how you felt like a part of the action made it so much fun.
What’s your favorite piece of sports apparel?
Easily my Frank Gore Jersey. It is from his rookie year. We’ve been through A LOT together. Years and years of pain and happy moments. It was my first jersey and was gifted to me so it makes it extra special.
What’s your worst moment as a fan of one of your teams?
Watching Candlestick go bye bye. This can count for two teams. The Giants and 49ers both played there. But seeing the move broke my heart. Yes, a beautiful new stadium is nice. But the nostalgia and history of the stick can never be replaced.
What’s your best moment as a fan of one of your teams?
The San Francisco Giants. 2010,2012,2014. Need I say more? That every other year magic was nice while it was happening.
IAN
What is your favorite sport?
Most Motorsports but primarily NASCAR.
What is a sport you wish to learn more of?
I’d like to lean more into hockey. The games and environment are so much fun.
What was your favorite sport to play growing up?
I only played football in school although I did go-kart racing for 2 nights before I crashed in front of my mom and she made me quit. So for the sake of longevity I’d say football but I love everything racing.
What is the best sporting event you’ve been to?
I was at the Titans-Broncos game in Nashville that Aqib Talib got in that fight on the sideline. The game was pretty sloppy but we won so that was fun. Also my first NASCAR race at Talladega was fun.
What’s your favorite piece of sports apparel?
I have just a normal summer weight St.Louis Cardinals hat that I rock almost everyday. It’s cool because it represents the area I’m from and it stands out in a way that’s easy for my family to track me down if need be. It’s red so they can look for that and if they need to ask somebody if they’ve seen me it’s not a common logo for this area but it’s known well enough that someone should help.
What’s your worst moment as a fan of one of your teams?
I was at the game Mariota broke his leg in Jacksonville. There was a little boy Jags fan that was giving high fives to the other fans around him then he got to me and I just shook my head no. Also at halftime I went to get water and there was a guy. He was just standing in line talking to his friend then he looked at me and said “Oh I guess I’m cutting”, I had said and done nothing but stand in line, he went to the back and specifically shouted “I see you in the blue shirt cutting in line”. All around crazy experience.
What’s your best moment as a fan of one of your teams?
Ryan Blaney’s championship was cool to watch. I watched the race in bed while my wife and son took a nap so I had to keep the celebration down but it was cool to have it all there.

What is your favorite sport?
My favorite sport is football but over the past 4 years soccer has sneaked all the way up into my second favorite. Basketball has always been second until now.
What is a sport you wish to learn more of?
I wish to learn more about rugby. I know Seattle has Seawolves. I want to watch them and learn the rules.
What was your favorite sport to play growing up?
I played a handful of sports at least once. But I loved playing football. I didn't play every year growing up which I regret!
What is the best sporting event you’ve been to?
I haven’t been to much, but growing up the Spokane Shock games I went to were absolutely electric. Even more than the Gonzaga games. But what takes the cake for me is the 2019 Rose Bowl match up between the Washington Huskies and The Ohio State Buckeyes. It was so amazing! I went with two colleagues/friends and even got to see my friend from back home in the Huskies marching band. It was such an amazing experience and the game was unforgettable!
What’s your favorite piece of sports apparel?
My favorite piece of sports apparel was sadly stolen by the movers when I moved across the country. It was this old Denver Broncos hat with the D logo my Grandpa had given me. The underside of the bill was green. So of the apparel I still have possession of my favorite would have to be this Nebraska Cornhuskers shirt I got from my Grandpa. The front says “60-3”. On the back it shows their records from 1993-1997 and their 3 championships.
What’s your worst moment as a fan of one of your teams?
My worst moment as a sports fan is easy to remember. I think about it at least once a month. Super Bowl 48. The Denver Broncos get pummeled by the Seattle Seahawks and the 12th man. I still went out dressed head to two in orange and blue the next day. After that, Bo Nix kneeling the ball to secure a trip to the AFC Conference Championship in 2026. Close third is Nathaniel Hackett and Russell Wilson.
What’s your best moment as a fan of one of your teams?
The best moment as a sports fan would have to be Super Bowl 50. I sadly fell asleep due to exhaustion in the 4th quarter. But I rocked that high for almost 3 years. I was having so much fun watching my favorite player destroy “SuperMan”. I remember the second we beat the patriots in the AFC Championship I took a video and called that the Broncos were winning it all. I never was scared, even though Super Bowl 48 was still lingering.
